Nick scored two of Playford's goals in a 5-0 win over Claydon on the 16th of April, these goals took his tally to 100 for the club. He is only the third player to ever do so. He only reached 90 goals in December and I do not just want to re-hash that article.
Nick symbolises two things for me, the first is the rejunivation of Playford football club between 2009 and 2010. As the club was stumbling along after reaching the second tier of the league, struggling with performances and an ever aging squad we found him, Jack Shelcott and Liam Miller which began the process of saving the club from folding.
The second is that the club was able to bring through young players, signing them from youth football and successfully integrating them into the squad.
Nick is a quality finisher and he has proven this time and again. In addition he is an accomplished footballer able to bring others into the game and support teammates.
His return of 13 goals (and counting) this season has seen him reach double figures for a sixth time, equalling Ross Leeks' record. Another double-figure season next year would see him break that record as well as close in on James Holland's 119 goals and second place in the all-time scorer chart.
Nick has scored his 100 goals in 142 matches. With 17 braces and 5 hat-tricks.
