Gareth was named as captain on his birthday, that also happened to be his 50th appearance for Playford. He set up Ryan Broadhurst's opener as the Reserves progress to the second round of the league cup.

Gareth joined for the 2014/2015 season, the second for the Reserves. He made his debut in a tough match with Borussia Martlesham, before scoring his first goal for the club in his next match.

He has scored a further nine goals, including a match winning brace against Felixstowe Harpers Reserves.

He earned the first of four Man of the Matches for his performance against Worlingworth. His second was for the aforementioned brace, another for his first game as a centre back against Taverners and his most recent in the return fixture with Taverners.

Gareth is a versitile player for the club, he has playe in almost every position, starting as a full back, moving gradually forward to the wings then partnering James Zebedee for most of last season. This year has seen him used a one of three centre backs.

Gareth's appearances are made up of 44 for the Reserves and six for the First Team.
