The first 30 minutes saw both sides cancelling each other out without really creating any clear cut chances.
Chris Jones played a ball between the full-back and centre-back for Ross Leeks to run on to. He beat the offside trap and took the ball into the area before rounding the ‘keeper and knocking the ball into the empty net.
Todd Bartlett made excellent progress down the left hand side, taking on the full-back and making his way into the area. His short pass found Leeks and he put the ball in from close range.
Jones should have done better after linking up on the right with Byron Stretton. Stretton’s pull back found Jones in the area with only the ‘keeper to beat but the ball bobbled as he looked to finish and he fired shockingly over.
Eight minutes into the second half Leeks was fouled in the penalty area and he confidently stepped up to take the kick. A great penalty to the ‘keepers left completed his hat-trick. After three goals in under 20 minutes Leeks subbed himself on a high.
The 3-0 lead spurred Playford on as they applied more and more pressure. The Feathers appeared to really struggle as Jem Vince fired in a cracking drive to make it four.
Warner struck a free-kick low past the ‘keeper with the entire defence expecting a cross.
Vince scored his second of the game being supplied by Daryl Francis.
Gareth Stretton finished the scoring with a well placed header from another Warner free-kick.
