With every other club out of the title race the match between Playford and Leiston Orient could decide the championship. Playford started the day seven points ahead of Orient with nine points up for grabs meaning anything but defeat would secure the title for Playford.
Both sides started brightly but there was little by the way of goal action early on. The breakthrough came thanks to Rene Swann scoring his 20th of the season. Jonathan Russell added a second towards the end of the half and Playford were firmly in control. The game was then wrapped up late on when Kieran Daniels set-up brother Jordan who coolly slotted under the on-coming ‘keeper.
Playford win their second Championship in their history.
